THE IRREVERENT APP

There was a time when people issued two kinds of wedding invitations. The first was a long-distance telephone call earnestly requiring one’s presence to grace the occasion, followed by a letter and…

ID.me and the IRS surveillance agenda

~dwulf

Over reaching into our freedom

I put this out in the hopes that the U.S. citizens of the country wake up. The IRS, Internal Revenue Service has contracted more 3rd party private company thugs, ID.me, to force citizens to take video selfies of themselves and upload their personal information to a centralized database under control of the incompetent and those that are really bad at security.

But like any gangster industry, that seek to extort funding through violence and threat of imprisonment they want control of all of the cash flows, including your crypto.

IRS Tactical Approach

Although I believe to IRS is destined to extinction and its inefficient old world economic model will collapse under its own hubris. I do recognize that it currently holds sway in the conventional fiat and employment world. But the agency is so vastly stupid, that even after having all the financial data of workplace employment and banking locations indexed through a Social Security Number or a TaxID. They still insist on you doing your taxes to submit to them.

Depending what you are doing your taxes on may require one to hire advanced accounting experts to determine your correct tax liability. Now the IRS wants your personal biometric data to permanently identify you, forever.

The request for this information is currently for accessing your tax records online, but this will of course escalate to more common interfacing with the IRS.

So, what do?

Personally, do not give them any additional data about yourself that which you have not already given them. Do not do their job for them and keep them from encroaching more into your personal privacy freedoms. Because the will take it and you will regret it.

What about KYC and centralized exchanges?

I have a big issue with this, and it is at the top of my priorities when creating crypto wallets and the accounts they interface with. KYC just adds an additional vector of attack to your personal and proprietary information.

But non-KYC flies in the face of regulation mandates which insist on all exchanges mandating KYC and full identity of all wallets on any given exchange.

This is where one has to weigh the pros and cons of putting oneself into the crypto eco-system, by what measure will you enter it?

Conclusion

This is difficult, on the one hand, the IRS is currently apart of our legal tender system, and any defiance to this illegal but legal entity could result in incarceration and audits scrutinizing your wealth holdings.

On the other hand, it is apparent that the IRS is a house of cards, with so much bureaucracy, that it is on the verge of collapse.

Their last ditch efforts to acquire more details about your wealth in whatever form that may be, has been especially aggressive.

From putting the actual question about any and all crypto holdings on tax forms you must fill out truthfully under penalty of perjury.

To hiring 3rd party analytics firms to trace every transaction to determine wallet ownership.

To mandating KYC with all centralized exchanges.

To now with ID.me and procuring biometric data on all citizens.

It is time to decouple from the old world economy, from surveillance and control. It is time to ready layer 1 and tell the IRS to go DeFi fuck themselves.
